20% of male drivers had points on their licences compared to 12% of
female drivers. |
According to Diamond Insurance, statistically speaking, women are also better drivers than men. This fact comes from the collection of claims data over decades by car insurance companies.
Our experience shows that whilst women don't mind being taught by male instructors, given the choice they prefer being taught by women instructors.
Our feedback from female candidates after passing the exams has been mainly that they feel more relaxed, less embarrassed in front women and it helps build up their self confidence.
One particular candidate by the name of Aqueela Shah said:
"Prior to joining Beta-drive, I had been taking lessons with male driving instructors and did not feel they understood my pace and level of driving. At Beta-drive the female instructor seemed exactly to know the difficulties I had and helped me over-come the obstacles"
Our team of dedicated female driving instructors provide detailed practical
lessons specifically designed "Just for Women".
Heading up "Just for Women" division is our own Musarat Ahmed, a qualified ADI female driving instructor holding the DIA Advanced Motorist certificate.
Musarat points out:-
"The specific purpose of the division is aimed at raising women's awareness and potential dangers they face whilst learning to drive. In addition to providing a safe environment for women to learn to drive, we show how to recognise and reduce the risks they may face when driving and what precautions they should take to help safeguard themselves, especially if alone".
We have a dedicated team of driving instructors fluent in Urdu, Hindi and Begali. We strongly believe that it is important for drivers of all nationalities to be able to communicate effectively and become safe defensive drivers.
Our array of Beta-learn books in foreign languages are available for direct
purchase or can be included in our driver packages in the practical and
theoretical lessons.
We are also in the process of producing CD-ROM version - watch this space!
Beta-Drive based in Luton, actively works with the local County Council to raise the level of understanding of road awareness for Asian Women.
